Clophill Roundabout project team join local school to officially open new safety crossing

As our team working on the improvements to the Clophill roundabout in Bedfordshire approach final the stages of the project, they have been joined by students from Redbourne Upper School, to officially inaugurate the new pedestrian crossing adjacent to the A507 eastern arm in Flitwick.

The newly installed crossing and pathway upgrades provide vital enhancements to the area and will significantly improve the safety for school children crossing the A507. The crossing has been positively welcomed by the school and the local community and is already making a huge difference in making pedestrians safer.

Despite carrying out the additional works, our project team remain on track to complete the project on time for our customer, Central Bedfordshire Council.

As a token of our appreciation and gratitude to the school for their support and patience whilst we carried out the works, the team provided all the students who attended the official opening event with a goodie bag and a certificate.

A huge well done to the team for completing these key works, enhancing the safety of the area to delight our customer, and collaborating with the local community. Read more about the project and the DFT’s recent visit to the site.
