Our project team working at Clophill Roundabout, Bedfordshire were delighted to welcome Andrew Bennett, Delivery Lead for the Levelling Up Fund and Local Infrastructure Delivery for the Department for Transport, and many of our key customers to the site to see the project as it nears its completion.
Andrew Bennett was pleased to see the works in action and experience first-hand the benefits the completed project will provide the community.
The department for Transport Provided £6.8 million of Government Levelling Up funding to support the scheme, improving the roundabout’s capacity and connections for drivers and pedestrians.
Our team began working on the package of improvements at Clophill Roundabout in February 2023, for Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC) The busy A6/A507 junction has long suffered from congestion and the project will make a significant difference for road users and local residents alike. The new and improved layout will provide increased capacity to reduce queuing, as well as enhancements to the walking and cycling routes close to the junction to make the road safer and encourage active travel.
