Rail Wellbeing Wednesday – April

April’s wellbeing Wednesday session focused on developing online resilience in teenagers. We know that social media and the internet is a great tool for maintaining social connections and for entertainment, however, teens are more likely to engage with strangers, share their passwords or experience negativity online. In addition, young people are less resilient and are still developing impulse control, emotional intelligence, and the ability to identify consequences and risks. They are more prone to be deeply affected by negative experiences in the virtual world, like cyber bullying, racism, bullying, gaming, mental health, harassment, body image, reputation and many more.

GP, broadcaster and Author Dr. Radha Modgil  shared her top tips for supported that we can give teenagers through their online interactions, cultivating their resilience that can last a lifetime.
